Wilderness First Aid Course Offered this Fall!

EKU’s Emergency Medical Care Program and Division of Natural Areas are partnering to offer a Wilderness First Aid Course this fall! The course features online training modules and one full day of hands-on skills and scenarios, taught at the Maywoods Environmental & Educational Laboratory, EKU’s 1,700-acre natural area.  The course is $200 to register and will result in certification in Wilderness First Aid. EMC Program Coordinator and Associate Professor David Fifer will be teaching the course. Fifer (MS, NRP, FAWM) is a Fellow in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and regularly supports wilderness rescue efforts in the Red River Gorge area. If you have questions or want to enroll, please email naturalareas@eku.edu more information.
